Which Way to Rome

the magic of getting lost but finding home wherever you are

Because the Night…

written by Young in Rome April 20, 2011

Feeling spoiled by last week’s free cultural offerings? Well, you’re in luck. Tonight, in honor of Earth Day (which isn’t really until Friday, but you know what they say about Italians and punctuality), Earth Day Italia is throwing a free concert in Villa Borghese. Starting at 8pm, treat yourself to the musical stylings of Sicilian singer-songwriter Carmen Consoli, legendary composer and conductor Ennio Morricone, and everyone’s favorite multi-hyphenate poet-visual artist-singer-songwriter-godmother of punk Patti Smith!

As part of the Earth Day festivities, the concert is aiming to be zero-carb emissions, so it’s a guilt free and Euro-free endeavour!

Where: Galoppatoio di Villa Borghese

When: Wednesday, April 20 at 8pm

How much: Free!

My Story

A smidgen about me: growing up bouncing back and forth between Rome and Northern California, I eventually moved back to the Eternal City to finish college and then decided I liked gelato too much to move away again. Today I split my time between Tunis, where I work for an international organization, and wandering around my beloved Roma in constant search of bookstores and the perfect espresso. Read more…
