While Rome is used to its constant juxtaposition of the old and the new, we’re not quite sure if the Eternal City is ready to handle what’s about to hit it tomorrow. I mean, we’ve all seen operas in the Baths of Caracalla (old hat…), or enjoyed a cocktail atop a 1,000 year old castle, but the Fame Monster herself is rolling into town tomorrow to close down EuroPride, the annual (and itinerant) European Gay Pride Festival currently holding it down in Piazza Vittorio Emmanuele. The final parade kicks off from Piazza dei Cinquecento (in front of Termini) around 4pm, with Lady Gaga scheduled to perform when it concludes in Circo Massimo a few hours later.
Where: Circus Maximus
When: Saturday, June 11 around 9ish (we think?)
How much: This event both sounds and actually IS priceless
Why: Um…Gaga, site of ancient chariot races, a Europe-wide gay pride festival? All awesome things
