Which Way to Rome

the magic of getting lost but finding home wherever you are

Club Report: January 13 + 14

written by January 13, 2012

So it’s been pretty cold… Remedy? Dance your face off. Here:

Friday January 13th:
Angelo Mai, my favorite Terme di Caracalla spot is hosting another one of their great electronic music parties: Say It Loud. Three different DJs will take the stage, starting at around midnight. Entrance is always less than 10 euros, and drinks are around 4 euros. For more info on the artists, check out the event page. (I will most probably be in attendance, so if you see me, by all means, dance awkwardly near me!)
Circolo degli Artisti is hosting a Blues Bash night, with two different artists performing. Circolo’s resident DJ will then finish the night. Entrance costs 6 euros and the show begins at 9:30 PM. For more info on the groups, check out the event’s page, in Italian.
Brancaleone– Italian musical prodigy-turned super electro DJ, Dusty Kid, will be performing at Rome’s famed Brancaleone. Three other DJs will also be playing this night, but make sure to get there before 1 AM- when they will close the doors! Entrance is 10 euros, for more info, click here.

Saturday January 14th:
Rising Love  is throwing a ‘Italian Terror Horror Party’ themed night.  That means come dressed for the theme! There are a few DJs playing that night, starting at 10 PM. Entrance is between 5-7 euros, depending on whether you are already a member of the ‘club.’ Check out the Facebook invite, also in Italian, for more info.

You can always head over to Lanificio 159, Coffee Pot, and Circolo degli Illuminati, among other places, for some hanging, drinking, and dancing.

My Story

A smidgen about me: growing up bouncing back and forth between Rome and Northern California, I eventually moved back to the Eternal City to finish college and then decided I liked gelato too much to move away again. Today I split my time between Tunis, where I work for an international organization, and wandering around my beloved Roma in constant search of bookstores and the perfect espresso. Read more…
