January 27-28 Music Outings

This weekend there are a bunch of cool music nights on the table, yippee!

Friday, January 27th:
Boys Noize– It’s here! Rather, he’s here! Berlin-based DJ, Boys Noize will be playing at Atlantico, in EUR. I already have my ticket, do you have yours?! For more info on the event check out  my previous post.
Lanifico– Another Berlin DJ will be spinning on Friday night, Oliver $. This guy has busted onto the scene in the last few years, and is already quite popular. For more info, check out the event’s page, in Italian.
Rising Love– Mo’ Horizons & The Banana Soundsystem will be playing their brand of soul and funk this Friday night. The ad, in Italian, makes this event seem pretty cool actually, so if you’re in the Piramide/Ostiense area, check it out!

Saturday, January 28th:
Circolo Degli Artisti: In the mood to rock? Well head over to Circolo for the Screamadelica- Faithful to Rock night. With that name, how could you not want to go?! There will be two stage areas, playing music from alternative, to indie, to rock, to Britpop, to disco… Take a look at Circolo’s site for more info.
Lanifico- Australian-born, but Iceland-based Ben Frost will be playing at Lanifico on Saturday night. Frost is best known for his experimental music, mixing sounds from post-punk, metal, and noise. Sounds pretty cool! For more info, in Italian, check out Lanificio’s site.
DIMMIDISI– Remember when I spoke to Roman Claudio, drummer of Starlette? Well now is your chance to go hear them play! Head over to DIMMIDISI, in the Tiburtina area, around 10:30 PM. They will be sharing the stage with 3 other bands as well. Check out the Facebook event page for more details! YEA STARLETTE!!
