Which Way to Rome

the magic of getting lost but finding home wherever you are

Dance On…

written by June 1, 2012

After a few weeks of dubious weather and club closings, summer’s here and the dancing’s back. Happening all weekend is Villa Aperta, so don’t forget to check it out one night! I suggest Saturday night so you can sway to the ‘soothing’ sounds of Kavinsky.

Friday June 1st:

Refresh! Opening Party: head over to EUR for Bibliotechina‘s opening party. This is a great place to party because it’s all outdoors, kinda like the Circolo degli Artisti of EUR.  There will be a few DJs spinning electro music, but honestly, you can go to just hang out in the huge spread of garden, in the nice June weather. It’s an open air bacchanalia, everyone!
Where: La Bibliotechina – Viale Romolo Murri, 84
When: Doors open at 8 PM for the aperitivo
Cost: FREE!!
For more info check out the Facebook event.

Saturday June 2nd:

Rebel Rebel Opening Party: We’ve written about Rebel Rebel’s parties before, but now it’s officially summer season and they are ringing in the warm weather. There will be a showcase from Bologna-based DJ group, Manocalda, as well as Rebel Rebel’s resident DJ, Zero. And remember, the party doesn’t stop until the first train passes in the morning!
Where: Andrea Doria – Via del Baiardo 26
When: From midnight until very late
Cost: 8 euros
For more info check out the Facebook event.

My Story

A smidgen about me: growing up bouncing back and forth between Rome and Northern California, I eventually moved back to the Eternal City to finish college and then decided I liked gelato too much to move away again. Today I split my time between Tunis, where I work for an international organization, and wandering around my beloved Roma in constant search of bookstores and the perfect espresso. Read more…
