Which Way to Rome

the magic of getting lost but finding home wherever you are

Heads Up: A-Trak in Rome!!

written by May 2, 2012

The man...the legend...the DJ A-Trak

“As the Eurozone plunges into debt, One man, A DJ…Lover of sheep and humans…Can save the old continent…ONE BPM AT A TIME!
It’s the great dance bailout. He’s coming to your country.
Start SCREAMING!”

A-Trak is coming to Rome. Boom.

As part of his EUROMANIA 2012 Tour, A-Trak, or as I like to call him, ‘the guy who makes me dance my face off, like in a really hardcore way,’ is stopping in Rome for one night only: Tuesday May 8th. A-Trak started DJing (and winning awards) when he was 15, DJed for Kanye West for years, and thrilled music-lovers with his mixes of hip-hop and dance music. But you probably know him best for his part in the DJ duo Duck Sauce (Armand Van Helden being the other), and their super famous song, Barbara Streisand.

If that didn’t convince you to attend ATrak’s show, maybe some of his jams will:
Martin Solveig – The Night Out (A-Trak Remix)
Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Heads Will Roll (A-Trak remix)
Sebastien Tellier – Kilometer (A-Trak Remix)

When: Tuesday May 8th
Where: AKAB, Via di Monte Testaccio, 69
When: 11:30 PM
How Much: 10-15 euro (Facebook invite says 15, others say 10??)

My Story

A smidgen about me: growing up bouncing back and forth between Rome and Northern California, I eventually moved back to the Eternal City to finish college and then decided I liked gelato too much to move away again. Today I split my time between Tunis, where I work for an international organization, and wandering around my beloved Roma in constant search of bookstores and the perfect espresso. Read more…
